Dan Heyman has been a working reporter and editor for the last forty years, contributing numerous freelance pieces to National Public Radio, The New York Times, and The Washington Post, among others. Based in West Virginia since 1998, he has covered the state for public broadcasting and the Public News Service. He is now works as an editor for PNS, and hosts the politics & policy discussion show Mountain State Update on WTSQ – The Status Quo.
